okay so the title says it all but I have officially decided that B0nes (Leonard H. Mccoy) and Kirk (James T. Kirk) should date. I mean I was watching old Star Trek hereafter referred to as TOS (the original series) and I can totally see where all of those adoring fan girls in the sixties got the whole Kirk/Spock subtext and started the best genre of fanfiction ever! (slash for you ungeeky losers who are not addicted to the possibilities of subtext that populates every show movie and book ever written). But the big revelation of the new movie (hereafter referred to as STXI) is that Bones/Kirk is way hotter in this new universe than Kirk/Spock ever was. Okay so the actors are way hotter, and the makeup is better and yes the uniforms actually fit. and you get to see Kirk in his really well fitted underpants but still it is so hot. I am sorry if this offends anyone but I thought if anyone can live with me geeking out about Star Trek that it was you ladies (and Dan) who I think at least in part understand the hotness of the STXI!
